IRISH FLUTE: CHRIS LANGAN WEEKEND (Toronto)

The Chris Langan Irish Music Weekend will be running May 27-29, 2011.  Information on the weekend may be found on the CLW website.

RECITAL THEME 

This year's spring recital theme has been chosen!  We are going to be playing pieces inspired by folk music of different countries.  If you are interested in the music of a specific place, let me know in the next two weeks.

AUDITION CONTEST

Congratulations go to GIANCARLO (1st Senior), TEODORA (2nd Senior), BROOKLYN (1st Junior) and SAVANNAH (2nd Junior) for their results in the Studio Audition Contest.  Giancarlo and Brooklyn will get to play with Encore... the Concert Band, and Teodora and Savannah will get free tickets to the concert.

DATE: Saturday February 7, 2010, 3.00-4.30pm.

Please bring one movement of your audition repertoire to play for the class and have your chromatic, major and minor scales and arpeggios up to tempo.

The class will include an interview coaching and performance anxiety session.

Please bring one movement of your audition repertoire to play for the class and have your harmonic minor scales and arpeggios up to tempo.

The class will include a short theory and EAR TRAINING exam as well as a performance anxiety session.

Jamie and Teodora will be playing in the LYS Chamber Winds concert on Thursday December 17th, 2009 at 7:00pm at the Waldorf School (7 Beaufort Street, London ON).

TEODORA and JAMIE, for their acceptance into the London Youth Symphony Chamber Winds Program

RHIANNE, for her acceptance into the London Youth Symphony and for winning the Summer Technique Relay

EVERYONE who tried something that scared him or her (the Studio Recital, various auditions, solos in band, etc.) and to all of you for your amazingly postive attitudes
