Purchased ca. 1974. Serial number 14###.
The flute was overhauled 25 years ago, and not played since. Located in
Guelph.

Adult Flute Workshop
The fall Adult Workshop was a success, and requests have been made to make it a recurring event. Thanks to all who attended, and made the experience such a wonderful one!

Fall Adult Flute
Workshop - Saturday October 27 & Sunday October 28, 2007
1-6pm
The Adult Flute Workshop is open to all adult students, from beginner to advanced levels, with each student encouraged to work at his/her own pace.
Classes currently planned are:
Flute Choir
Performance Anxiety: Strategies for control
Irish Music for the Classical Musician: Finding the right "accent"
Middle Eastern Music: Introduction for the Classical Musician
Irish Music: Tips for learning tunes by ear
Masterclass: Practicing performance
Practice: How to practice effectively with a busy schedule
Rhythm: Internalize the pulse!
Approaching a new piece: How to start off well
Stretches for musicians: Reduce the risks of injury
If you are interested in joining us for the workshop, please email Amy at flutestudio@rogers.com for a registration package.
The workshop is $70/weekend, or $40/day.

Yoga for Teens
In addition to their regular offerings, the Lotus Centre is running a 'Yoga for Teens' class this term, running 8:00-9:15 on Tuesday evenings. Yoga is a great way to gently get rid of the stress and muscle tension that builds up during the course of the week - especially when you're practising hard!! Flute Choir Auditions
Junior and Senior Flute Choir auditions are on now. Talk to
your teacher if you'd like to play!
Flutists who do not currently study at the studio are welcome; please e-mail or
call (519) 872-6269 to set up a placement interview.
December Lessons
The Christmas Holidays run December 19-30, 2005. Students wishing to suspend lessons for the duration of the school break must inform their teacher by their first lesson in December. There will be no lessons scheduled for December 24, 25, 26, 31, 2005 and January 1, 2006. Normal lesson times will resume as of January 2, 2006.

Summer Lessons
The studio will remain open through the summer months, with the exception of the last week of July. Students are encouraged to continue lessons over the summer, as hard-won skills are easily lost through lack of practise. Should a student discontinue lessons for the summer, it may not be possible to reserve the lesson day and time. If planning a family vacation, please let your studio teacher know as soon as possible in order to facilitate scheduling.

STUDIO RECITAL
This year, the O'Neill Flute Studio is proud to team up with
the piano students at the Lanthier Music Studio to present a Spring
Recital! The recital will take place in the Belle Air Music Recital Hall on
Saturday, June 4th, 2005. Doors open at 10:45am, and the recital begins
at 11:00am. There is a recital fee of $10 per student to cover the cost
of the hall. With this recital fee, the student can bring up to six
guests for free. Tickets for additional guests may be purchased from
either studio for $2 each.
Please note there will be an additional charge for students who require
the services of an accompanist.
